If you are a musician or something, yeah, I don't know how to help ya, but if you aren't, the way I quit biting my nails may help you:
I couldn't take seeing even a little bit of fingernail growth. I had my nails bitten down so short they either hurt or were uncomfortable constantly. I envied the other girls with pretty fingers when mine had become so puffy at the ends and pretty long nails when mine were bitten beyond their limit... So, I started wearing Walgreens acrylics.
I never meant to cure my nail-biting, it just sorta happened after a few times when I bit my acrylic nail and found that my teeth found that experience quite painful. Noticeably soon, I stopped biting all together.
This will destroy your nails themselves for a while. Acrylics make your nails brittle and weak, but this is something you can fix with your common Hard as Nails polish from Sally Hansen anywhere you find beauty products once you are sure you will not bite again. Time will also restore your nails. I think I wore acrylics for a semester.
Note: I'd only wear the fake acrylics as the glue is weak. The last thing you want is to bump into something and damage your real nail even worse from quality glue.
Happy non Nail-biting!
