"The Sweetest Ambiguous Love" - Nabari no Ou (Manga) - 8/10 Sugar Cubes

"A simple relationship can be moving too."

Genre: Semi-Romance, Drama, Tragedy, Martial Arts, Supernatural

Summary: Miharu, a simple lad, finds himself pursued by conflicting ninja clans as they seek to obtain the dormant, ultimate power within him.

Art: The art is good. No complaints.

Review: This story feels like the mangaka decided to start one way, then suddenly got the idea to switch it, then felt like they wanted to quit the arc while they were ahead, then, well... who knows. The story is still ongoing.

Nevertheless, the kya moments I felt while watching Miharu and Yoite interact were so awesome that I can't type less than an 8 in the title. Their relationship is just so beautiful! It is so moving to read the manga and then watch those scenes in the anime... so, so beautiful... It transcends romance... No wonder the mangaka changed the arc...

The storyline was ok. Typical. Good enough. No complaints. There were some pretty neat surprises, but those surprises often turned to be quite useless in the end... Still. Neat storyline. If you like ninjas or supernatural anime, you'll like this. And if you like super sweet scenes and love to get attached to your characters, you'll like it too.

Overall: Beautifully executed relationships. Typical storyline. Transcendence of anime romance.

Enjoy!
