Bar Method Review - Designer Sculpting

Would you pay $117 for a pair of exercise DVDs?

Some people did. On eBay. And on Amazon.com. Why? Because these DVD's kick butt.

I got mine for $22 including s&h, but that was before the No More Printing scare... (They recently released 2 more DVDs) Suddenly, the price skyrocketed to the highest I have ever seen anyone pay for only 2 DVDs (For comparison, you can get P90x for as little as $70...)

The Bar Method usually has 2 DVDs, Designer Sculpting and Fat Free in a set. They can be purchased separately and in my opinion, not both are needed, but some people do rotate them. I used Designer Sculpting mostly...

Anywho, Designer Sculpting WORKS. Hopefully, you will stick with it longer than I did, but I saw results within a couple weeks. You definitely do feel it all through you. (I just lack motivation... I'll try any exercise dvd 2 weeks, but then... well... )

I was a bit disappointed with the arm exercises, though, but that was until I learned to do the exercises correctly from Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, so make sure you know how to do each one because the motions aren't explained well enough on the DVD. The leg and bun exercises and "the pretzel" are explained pretty well, though.

The DVD is about 40 some odd minutes in total, but I recommend writing down the exercises. You can bring down the time it takes to do it at least a quarter once you are sure you know what you are doing. Also, this isn't cardio AT ALL (you probably won't break a sweat) so you may want to do some cardio in addition.

One more thing, you may want to play it on your computer or else never take it out of your DVD player... that intro advertisement is killer boring after the 3rd time or so...

* Disclaimer: Those with bad knee problems may want to steer clear. There are ways to do this without hurting your knees, but if you don't have good form and already have knee problems, it may be bad for you. Those with healthy knees or who know they can use good form will probably be just fine. *
