Earring Shopping

I buy my holiday earrings a week after the associated holiday from Claire's...

A week after Christmas, I saw 3 pairs of adorable earrings. If I had paid the original price before Christmas, I would have paid $12.50 + tax. I paid $3.23 including tax. And they will still be cute next year when they get their debut.

This is what I do for Valentines' Day and will start doing this year for St. Patrick's to save money, but not sacrifice having cute earrings. ^.^

Another thing I do is I wait for Claire's or Icing to have one of those Buy X Amount of Earrings for $10 sales and stock up. I look for sets of a bunch of earrings that are there only because they are missing an earring or two and try to find a compliment. I once left with over 20 complete pairs of earrings for $10 simply because there were a few missing earrings in the set. (And they were all cute).

In case you wondered, many of these are earrings I have received compliments on. I'm sure no one is the wiser that I spent less than 50 cents on each pair. ^.^

Also, a lot of the Claire's earrings last for quite a while (if they tarnish at all). I'm not knocking the quality stuff, I do love to get that too. Still, the more you wear a set of earrings, the more likely it is to lose them...
