Going to the movies is expensive. If you're anything like me and my family, you pay for the movie and get snacks to eat during it which cost as much as a meal, then go out to eat, then have dessert. By the time you are done, do you even want to add up how much you have spent? If you really stop and think about it, can't you get a whole bunch of bags of microwaveable popcorn for the price of one small one at the theatre? Depressing -.-
But, what if you could watch a movie and eat at the same time? Skip the whole expensive snack deal and get your food for about the same as what you would pay if you went to Ruby Tuesday's while George Clooney leads his Ocean's Eleven to the safe? That's the premise of Hollywood Boulevard, located at 1001 West 75th St, Woodridge, IL 60517.
The seats are comfy executive-style office chairs and the view is good from any place in the theatre. The wait staff is nice and they even do private parties! The atmosphere is great.
Last time I was there, I had their buffalo chicken sandwich and oreo pie. The sandwich was very flavorful and the oreo pie was delicious; they give you so much food that you can't finish everything. The sandwich came with French fries and they automatically remember to bring you ketchup. ^.^ The food comes out nice and fast and there is enough light from the screen for you to see. Waiting for food while being entertained by television makes the wait seem so short. They also don't have nearly as many commercials as Marcus Theatres has... In addition, it is a bar.
This is a great date idea. In fact, the first time I heard about it was because of a date.
I really liked it a lot and will definitely go back. ^.^
