This place is quite unique. You walk in and they ask you if you have been there before. If you say no, they take you around, the whole place. And I mean the whole place. You even see the kitchen. And much to my surprise, at least, there was a family eating in the kitchen. At a booth. Aparently you can reserve a booth and watch the cooks.
They take you through a bunch of rooms. We also went past a room that creeped me out for a few minutes (there was a head in a glass box on the table T.T and I did not go around Halloween...)
Once we sat down, we were told that this is a restaurant where you order specific items that are for multiple people. Like one item is about 2o bucks or so, depending on if you get the large or the small, but you are splitting it. On the same token, everything is "a la cart", so that needs to be taken into consideration.
As for the food, it is good, but I won't say it is fantastic or anything. (Side note: If you go and the menu says "spicy", believe them. I assure you, it is definitely spicy...) I do think you pay for considerably more than what you get.
One of their dessert items is gelatto. I've had gelatto before. I've even had European ice cream before... and this tasted like common American ice cream... I don't regret getting it nonetheless as it was entitled a mini cone and what I got was adorably miniature ^.^
If you go, check out the bathrooms. The women's bathroom has a list of things to do in the event the air has been "spoiled". Ha!
Over all, if I ever go there again, it will be to watch the cooks or to face my fear of that table head.
*Located in Orland Park, IL near Orland Mall, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Olive Garden*

ReplyDelete(And I do have a major fear of wax figures...)
Perhaps they were having a bad night, but when I went to the one in Orland, the food tasted rewarmed... Perhaps the one in Milwaukee is better?
