GreekTown Chicago's Taste of Greece!

I am not sure if they are doing it this year as there is no mention of it on the GreekTown offical website, but for a couple of years, I have been going to the annual GreekTown Taste of Greece festival.

I love it! They block off the streets and vendors cook outside. I had never really seen a whole lamb roasting before. If you like those fake American gyros we eat, you will LOVE the gyros here! There is this one restaurant that I can never remember the name of... the only thing I remember is that it is white and blue and is the only white and blue restaurant. That place has the absolute best gyros I have ever tasted.
Of course there is much more than food for sale. There are clothes and there's music and all sorts of things! (By the way, remember my article on Beijo purses? There is always a representative there who sells authentic Beijo purses for $10-$20 off the listed internet price!)
It usually happens around in August, so look for it!
